We were driving by and saw Virgil tending his garden against the backdrop sign of ‘enchanted cottages’. Immediately I felt nostalgia for England. How could we pass this up? C&M

Our travels have taken us all around the world and we always try to find someplace to stay that is a little bit different (an old steve mill in Ireland and a cabin in a rainforest in Kaui). But when we have to get away from Seattle, we always come to Long Beach. Finding this wonderful cottage with its outstanding hosts is one of the best “finds” we have ever made. Part of us wants to tell everyone, and part of us wants to keep it “our little secret”. To Trisha and Virgil, thank you for your kindness and hospitality! B&J Seattle

Hollyhock Cottage

Ahhh. Such a lovely stay here! Comfy bed. The Depot is great, Beard’s cove at Cape Disappointment is not to be missed and walking along the salt marsh in Oysterville was lovely and soooo beautiful! It was a wonderful stay. E&P&J

A delightful stay! The firewood cut right before our eyes added a personalized Disney-esque experience, and made for a blazing fire at the beach. Of course, the accommodations were superb. N&R
